If you’re ready to have your article posted on Coast & Culture, please complete the form on this page. Include your contact information and a brief description of your article. We will review your submission and reach out regarding possible next steps.
Format
- Easy-to-follow structure
- Avoid simplified language
- Use of headings, subheadings, bullet points and quotes
- If internet reference is needed, provide link for source
Article Length
- Featured length articles: 701-1000 words
- Shorter pieces (opinion, news, reports, surveys, etc…): 350-700 words.
Not all articles will be considered for Featured Article Length. If you’d like to be considered for a Featured Article position, please mention it in the Submission Email.
Content Quality
- Approach controversial and sensitive topics (such as cultural, sexual and gender, spiritual, breaking news) with nuance, sensitivity and professionalism. If unsure, please contact Managing Editor for support through Discord channel or Email.
- Provide suggested category and tags for topic. If none are provided, a category and tags will be assigned at Managing Editors discretion.
- Strong narrative or argument that engages the reader.
- Includes a 1-2 sentence TLDR. If one is not provided, a TLDR will be provided by the Managing Editors discretion.
- Articles should be fact checked and source links should be provided for verification.
- Do not use Artificial Intelligence (A.I.) to generate more than 25% of content if using A.I. An AI detector will be used on articles suspected of being mostly generate by A.I.
Media
- When submitting videos, images or recordings, please use organized labeling. Ensure video and image are no large than 25 MB
- Image format: JPG, JPEG, PNG Video Format: MP4
